Clinical collaboration and Celo’s response to COVID-19
Auckland-headquartered healthcare technology company Celo has today announced their new tool Celo Broadcast in response to COVID-19.
“At Celo, we have been unwavering in our mission since the day the company was born – communication saves lives. Given the surreal and devastating impact that COVID-19 is having on a global stage, we felt a strong sense of obligation and responsibility to our community and country to do our part in tackling this pandemic.
“On Monday, we implemented our Celo Virtual Office, allowing our team to work from home to aid in social distancing, reduce the amount of interpersonal contact in our office space and facilitate flexible working conditions as a way to help ‘flatten the curve’,” CEO Steve Vlok says.
In response to COVID-19, Celo has developed a new tool to complement Celo’s current collaboration application – Celo Broadcast.
Smartphones have become an integral part of how we work, play and interact day to day. Whether clinicians are at home with their families, or in the hospital during a busy day of operating – they are heavily reliant on these devices.
Utilising a smartphone with Celo’s healthcare-specific application installed, organisations can send targeted and closed loop communication to their staff for critical updates. This allows organisations to provide critical and instant broadcasts to their entire organisation or tailored-messages to specific teams.
Celo Broadcast means messages that matter are delivered instantly, with real-time metrics making it readily apparent who has and hasn’t read the messages.
The Celo Broadcast feature is available to all existing and future Celo customers at no cost.
In addition to providing the Celo Broadcast feature to all customers, Celo has also signalled the availability for all individual healthcare professionals across New Zealand and Australia to join the Celo network, utilising the Celo platform for free during the COVID-19 response.
Celo has set up a healthcare network in both New Zealand and Australia to better facilitate cross-organisation communication between healthcare professionals during this time.
Healthcare organisations wishing to make the move to Celo Enterprise and take advantage of the Broadcast function can work with Celo to send critical messages to their entire organisation or targeted teams.
