MoveMe Health puts patients first with online booking and scheduling tool

MoveMe Health, New Zealand’s go-to movement and mobility healthcare specialists, are implementing Aceso Pinga, a cloud-based online booking, referral, and patient engagement platform which will significantly improve the patient experience of booking appointments. At MoveMe Health, patients are our priority, and this is yet another step towards improving the patient experience.

Initially established in Auckland in 1991, MoveMe Health has developed into the most comprehensive, all-inclusive Orthotic and Podiatry offering in New Zealand. With an exceptionally trained team of professionals and availability of the largest range of orthotics, integrating Pinga will help MoveMe Health to truly mobilise and support everyone.

MoveMe Health is working with Aceso Health to integrate their new system, Pinga which enables patients to book their online appointments from the comfort of their homes choosing a time and location most convenient to them in just three clicks. Pinga puts the patient firmly in control with the option to reschedule and cancel the appointment in a matter of minutes. The secure fully automated system will also send patient reminders the day prior with any instructions that may be required or allow the patient to upload necessary documents, making sure they do not miss their appointment. This is a major step forward from the current outdated and inefficient booking process many healthcare businesses use via call centres and in person visits.

As a nation-wide leader in Orthotics and Podiatry, MoveMe Health is the hub of referrals from hospitals, private practices, ACC as well as patient self-referrals. To streamline this process, a specialised E-referral system within Pinga, will enable healthcare providers to book on the spot referrals at a time and location suitable to their patient. The referrer portal will also allow direct referrals at times unavailable to the wider public. Aceso Health’s Strategic Business Development Manager, Tom Varghese says that this current project with MoveMe “is a positive step towards a seamless healthcare experience. Consumers look for convenience, personalisation, simplicity, transparency, and security in their healthcare interactions. One of the most successful ways to elevate customer interactions is to engage the customer in redesigning the experience, and Pinga is a prime example of this”.

Chief Operating and Chief Information Officer, Rebecca Stanaway is looking forward to the operational efficiencies that will be created by introducing the new technology. “Not only will the patient booking experience be streamlined, Pinga is also the first step in ensuring that we get the patient journey right from the outset.”

Through an integrated patient portal, MoveMe Health seeks to encourage active patient participation while simultaneously giving them control of their healthcare appointments. Pinga’s seamless integration into existing MoveMe Health workflows aims to fortify patient-provider interactions.

Chief Executive of MoveMe Health, Dr David Fitzpatrick-Cockram, says that this innovative and industry leading development is yet another example of how MoveMe Health is “putting patients first, embracing system re-design and implementing online workflows, with the aim to be able to deliver a better, more efficient patient and provider experience.”
