NZHIT are pleased to announce that Mark Cox will taking on the role of acting CEO while a new CEO is appointed.

Many of you will know Mark from his work during 2019 on the NZHIT submission to the Health and Disability review, and in 2020 during COVID-19 when he kept in touch with all members. More recently Mark has been working with Malcolm Pollock on the Opportunities Report.

Mark has over 35 years’ experience in NZ Health IT, being a founder of Sysmex (Delphic), a founder of the NZHIT, bringing the ICNet product into NZ, and more recently in his own business HealthIT Consulting.

“We are thrilled that Mark has agreed to step into this important role, seamlessly taking over as Acting CEO role until our new CEO is appointed.  We have had a lot of interest in the CEO role and will be looking to appoint the successful candidate as soon as possible.  We welcome Mark formally into the NZHIT team.” says Kate Reid, NZHIT Chair.
