The American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand introduced an annual awards

 

In 2000 the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand introduced an annual awards event to celebrate success and innovation in business relationships with the USA.  This event has now become a highlight of our year.

With the current COVID19 pandemic affecting the world we have decided to change the 2020 awards to celebrate success and resilience in relations with the USA during these difficult times.


There are no set categories. We are looking to recognize 5 or 6 companies, organisations, or individuals who shown resilience, ingenuity, have re-pivoted, and have been successful in growing relationships/business between the USA and NZ this year. This can be covering Importing, Exporting, Investment, Education, Research/Science, Tourism, Dealing with Workforce issues, Supply chains, and Creative sectors.

The awards will be presented at a dinner on:

A successful applicant will demonstrate their success across these dimensions, in ways of their choosing but showing how they have overcome the challenges. Some evidence of financial progress and success will be required.

 You do not have to be an AmCham member to enter.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

 

1. 15 August entries open
2. 11 September entries close
3. 16-18September awards judging
4. 24 September top 12-15 entries to be interviewed
5. 25 September Winners announced
4. 29 October Success & Resilience Awards dinner in Auckland or at a later date depending on Government restrictions for COVID19.

 

Finalists from outside Auckland are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs and arrangements to attend the Awards dinner.

 

HOW DO I ENTER? 

  1. Complete this official entry form
  2. Your entry should be Arial font, size 11 or greater and not be more than 6 A4 pages.
  3. All applications should be emailed to by 5.00pm 11th September 2020.
  4. Finalists will then be  contacted to arrange a time to meet with the judges for an in depth question session, either face to face or via video/Skype.

 

The awards will be presented to the winners a dinner ceremony on 29th October 2020. Tickets cost $195 (inc GST) each. Winners from outside Auckland are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs and arrangements to attend the Awards dinner.
