Head of Community for Mycare
Social entrepreneur Sam Johnson is Head of Community for Mycare and Founder/ Chair of the Student Volunteer Army charity. He is a champion of creating new social infrastructure to support communities. Sam began working with Mycare in 2017 while continuing to grow ethos of the Student Volunteer Army movement in an effort to recreate mutually beneficial models of community - without natural disasters. Sam's time is spent developing unique partnerships that bridge social, community and health issues with the Mycare team and other partners. Deeply linked to innovation and community leadership, Sam’s presentation will focus on why new models of trust, work, community and the shared economy are introducing new forms of #socialInfrastructure - giving people more control over their work and lives. As Sam says: "on every street in New Zealand there is someone looking for work, and someone looking for help. Let's make it easy for those people to connect in a safe, mutually beneficial way."
