Member News: MEG healthcare quality systems expands operations in the Middle East

Dublin, 20th Jan 2022 - The Irish MedTech company signals its continued expansion in the MEA region with the official opening of its first Middle East office, a senior business management hire, and a new partnership announcement for KSA.

MEG is proud to announce its continued commitment to current and future customers in the region with the recent opening of its Dubai office. The new office located on Sheikh Zayed Road, signifies a growing demand for the company’s healthcare quality and accreditation management software by high-achieving healthcare providers.

MEG’s integrated tools help hospitals monitor and improve care quality, reduce patient risk and alleviate onerous paperwork for staff through the use of interoperable, mobile and cloud-based technology.

In addition to the new office, MEG has welcomed Nabeel Deek to the Dubai team as Regional Business Development Manager. Deek comes with a wealth of experience in the area of healthcare software and client account management, having previously worked in the health technology industry in KSA.

Speaking about his new role with MEG, Deek said, ‘I’m delighted to be working with the MEG team at such an exciting time in the company’s development. Everyone here is genuinely passionate about the work that we do to make healthcare safer.

We have a great product. MEG is powerful, flexible, easy to use and delivers real value for our customers. I look forward to building close working relationships with new and existing customers here, understanding their evolving requirements and helping them extract full value from MEG’s comprehensive suite of healthcare quality and accreditation management software tools.’

A strong pipeline of new customers is set for MEG in 2022 and beyond, building upon the successful deployment of MEG’s system in hospitals last year across multiple Gulf states, including the U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Last month, the company also officially signed an exclusive Saudi-based partnership agreement with Mediserv Co. Ltd, a leading provider of medical and healthcare supplies, equipment and software in the Kingdom.

Mediserv, whose clientele includes the Ministry of Health, King Fahad Medical City, and King Saud Medical City will work closely with MEG’s regional team to offer local sales and tier one IT support to customers based in KSA.

‘It’s my pleasure to announce Mediserv’s partnership with MEG. Mediserv thrives in catering to the evolving needs of the healthcare industry - in both public and private sectors. This partnership will enable us to continue to anticipate the increasing customer demand for digital solutions across all areas of healthcare and exceed expectations in their delivery’, while keeping our promise towards enhancing patient experience and care’, said Omar Al Aggad, who heads up Strategic Business Planning with Mediserv.

Later this month MEG (in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland) and Mediserv will be attending and exhibiting at Arab Health 2022, the leading healthcare exhibition in the region.
