NZTech Digital Skills and Other Critical Workers Immigration Survey

CEO of NZTech Graeme Muller is sharing a survey on digital skills and critical worker shortages, and wants your input.

Graeme explains that "Talent shortages are now consistently the number one issue for all types and sizes of tech firms throughout New Zealand. Everywhere I go I keep getting told that lack of available talent is causing firms to gear back their outputs. This is having a downstream effect of slowing the digitalisation of New Zealand businesses and slowing the growth of digital exporters. Both are critical for New Zealand’s economic recovery.
Many firms have told me that they have been unable to get approval to bring needed tech talent into New Zealand via the 'Other Critical Worker' pathway recommended by Immigration.  Immigration says it shouldn’t be an issue but obviously it is.
NZTech has decided to collect some data as anecdotes are not cutting it. This information will help NZTech and Immigration identify potential areas for improvement."
Please complete the survey and share widely with your networks.
