World Standards Day

Standards help make the world a better place to live. This includes improving wellbeing, lifting economic efficiency, and increasing New Zealand’s international trade. Robust standards also help build a safer, more sustainable environment.

World Standards Day highlights the significance of standardisation among industry, consumers, regulators, and government. It also lets us pay tribute to the collaborative efforts of thousands of experts worldwide who contribute to standards development.

This year, Standards New Zealand will be hosting an informative World Standards Day expo, together with various standards-related organisations. It will showcase what's happening in the world of standards, accreditation and conformance and we'll also recognise those who have contributed their time and expertise to the standards community.

Alongside the expo, we’ll also offer three 20-minute workshops. You are welcome to join one, or all:

1. Who Standards NZ is and the role we play
2. How standards are developed
3. International standards

RSVP by Wednesday 9 October so we know which sessions you’re attending and can add your name to the list for building access. Numbers are limited.

Time: Visit the expo any time from 2-5pm. Workshops start from 2pm.
Venue: Ground floor, MBIE, 15 Stout St, Wellington.

We hope to see you there! Register here: https://lnkd.in/fSw2g6g(external link)
